Kick-off meeting of the IJL PRESTO & Symposium “Collaborative Strategy for One Health Projects Building"

The International Joint Laboratory (IJL) PRESTO is a multidisciplinary research and training program supported by IRD. It brings together experts and researchers from France, Laos, and Thailand who share the common goal to prevent and combat emerging infectious diseases in the Greater Mekong region. This IJL builds upon several existing long-standing partnerships and shares complementary knowledge, experience, and expertise in various fields: biodiversity, bioinformatics, disease ecology, epidemiology, molecular biology, public health, social sciences, and virology. The PRESTO IJL will facilitate the development of an intervention platform for early recognition and control of infectious diseases of zoonotic origin in this region, a recognized hot-spot for emerging diseases.
